Wednesday at the Summit 7/23/2014

On Wednesday we started at The Canopy, a series of canopy zip lines through the tree tops. We went in 2 groups, due to our size. It started to rain soon after we started, but we continued and zipped in the rain, since there was no lightning.  Not many photos due to rain. We did have some thunder towards the end and had to finish quickly to get safely out of the trees. It was a fun time.

The afternoon was spent on our service project. We performed trail maintenance on Trail D of the High Gear mountain biking trails. We worked alongside a troop from Puerto Rico.

In the evening, some of us attempted the Water Reality obstacle course, paddle boarding, or Rock Climbing & Rappelling.  Tonight we are expecting rain storms.

Tuesday at the Summit 7/22/2014

Today we started with The Ropes, a cool challenge course. Afterwards we hiked a long way up a mountain to zip line 3200 feet to the bottom. Everyone loved it. Then for the afternoon we went to Low Gear for mountain biking. It was HOT, so we called it a day and headed back to camp for a break before supper.

Monday at the Summit 7/21/14

On Monday we started early with breakfast and a LONG hike up to The Bows for archery. We shot static, 3D, and Laport (flying) targets. After a trail lunch we hiked over to The Barrels for rifle shooting. We started with 22 rifles and then moved up to Remington 700 Tactical rifles. BANG! Afterwards we hiked back to Summit Center for dinner and then most of the boys and some adults tried the evening activities and Action Point, like skateboarding and BMX. It was a great day.
